SnowPR: Benchmarking Coding Agents on Snowflake's 43M-Line Monorepo

Comments on “SnowPR: Benchmarking Coding Agents on Snowflake's 43M-Line Monorepo”

3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

SnowPR is a new coding-agent benchmark built from 65 merged pull requests in Snowflake's 43-million-line monorepo, with grading by the hidden tests that shipped alongside each change. Unlike public benchmarks drawn from small Python projects, it reflects large, multi-module Java and C++ work with Bazel builds.

Why it ranked

No. 48 of 110 with a score of 0.63. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.92) and substantiated (0.89), lowest on audience breadth (0.50). Placed No. 48, No. 36 by score alone: the 16th AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
Substantive benchmark methodology and results on coding agents from a large monorepo, with detailed grading and comparisons. Vendor-authored, somewhat promotional for its own agent, but well substantiated and practically relevant to builders evaluating coding agents.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A detailed, reproducible benchmark of coding agents on a large private Java/C++ monorepo, with task construction, validation, costs, results, and limitations. Company self-interest exists, but evidence and caveats substantially outweigh promotion.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
