Redis 8.12-rc1, the first release candidate and not meant for production, folds redis-roaring compressed bitmaps into core (off by default via a config flag). It adds per-member set expiration (SEXPIRE and related commands), a BLESS command to exempt keys from eviction, and SQ8 compression for HNSW vectors in RediSearch. Fixes include RDB load failures, a Pub/Sub permission gap and two RediSearch security issues. RediSearch now requires Redis 8.9.241 or newer. The checks could not independently confirm these items, which come from the release notes.
