mobile-agent is an experimental, pre-release open-source tool, built from source and under the MIT License, that lets AI agents control Android devices, emulators, iOS Simulators and physical iPhones. A daemon keeps a live mirror of each screen and answers snapshots and waits from it to cut per-step latency.

Read the original at github.com. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 55 of 111 with a score of 0.62. The panel rated it highest on technical depth (0.94) and new information (0.93), lowest on audience breadth (0.43). Placed No. 55, No. 44 by score alone: the 14th AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
Substantive, detailed experimental open-source tool for AI agents controlling mobile devices, with thorough technical specifics and a reproducible setup, though its audience is niche and it is pre-release.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A highly detailed engineering write-up for an experimental cross-platform mobile-agent project, with reproducible architecture, platform constraints, commands, tests, compatibility data, and operational semantics. It is technically strong and actionable, though still niche and pre-release.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
