Claude Code guards built from my agent's repeated mistakes

Comments on “Claude Code guards built from my agent's repeated mistakes”

3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

A GitHub project called claude-code-mistake-guards packages seven guards for Claude Code, built from mistakes an AI agent repeatedly made over several months of daily use. Three are hooks that block risky shell commands, unsafe saves, and unsupported claims, and four are pre-ship scripts that catch listing and content errors.

Read the original at github.com. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 90 of 111 with a score of 0.58. The panel rated it highest on practical relevance (0.81) and new information (0.80), lowest on significance (0.42). The judges disagreed most on substantiated (spread 0.50), so the story is marked contested. Placed No. 90, No. 72 by score alone: the 29th AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080), and close to “A Claude Code agent's test escaped into my Mac. I only noticed because it talked”, No. 5 today (−0.011). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
Practical, concrete guards for Claude Code with tests and worked examples; useful to builders using coding agents. Self-published, small in scope, substantiation mostly anecdotal, some promotional framing toward the e-book and repo stars.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A practical, tested collection of Claude Code hooks and pipeline checks, with concrete failure cases, implementation constraints, tests, and installation guidance. It is useful engineering work, though limited in breadth and largely based on one team’s experience.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
