3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

Tadpole is an open-source LLM agent of about 3,500 lines of plain Python, built without an agent framework, that runs on a local 4B model or any OpenAI-compatible API and can be operated through a terminal or a Telegram bot.

Read the original at github.com. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 31 of 59 with a score of 0.62. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.92) and technical depth (0.84), lowest on significance (0.48). Placed No. 31, No. 24 by score alone: the eighth AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
Open-source LLM agent built from scratch with reproducible post-training results; on-topic and practical for builders, with measured evidence but a narrow local benchmark and some self-reported gains.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A reproducible, technically detailed agent build and post-training report with code, tests, benchmark methodology, results, limitations, and deployment instructions. It is especially relevant to AI engineers, though the benchmark is small and project-specific.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
