3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

A new crawler sending fake aocr.org referrers has been hitting websites since late September 2026. Its network fingerprint matches ByteDance's declared Bytespider crawler and its browser carries ByteDance-specific timing fields, with real servers traced to China Mobile in Shanxi.

Read the original at tin.computer. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 33 of 59 with a score of 0.61. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.89) and technical depth (0.84), lowest on significance (0.52). Placed No. 33, No. 27 by score alone: the tenth AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
Detailed technical investigation of an undeclared ByteDance-linked crawler with fingerprints and evidence, but it is partly a product promo for Tin Analytics and concerns a narrow audience of site operators.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
Detailed measurement of an undeclared crawler provides fingerprinting evidence, infrastructure attribution limits, and actionable blocking guidance. It is highly relevant to site operators, though ByteDance attribution remains unproven and the headline slightly overstates certainty.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
