3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

The project runs three copies of Doom 2 on one DOS machine by hand-written scheduling: every four frames it saves the running copy's changed globals, patches and pointers, restores another's, and swaps stacks.

Read the original at kodoque1.github.io. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 50 of 59 with a score of 0.56. The panel rated it highest on technical depth (0.94) and new information (0.93), lowest on audience breadth (0.42). Placed No. 50, where the score alone would also have put it: the tenth Programming & dev tools story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
A detailed, technically deep engineering write-up of running multiple Doom instances via state swapping in DOS, a fun side project with an interactive challenge; limited practical use for most builders.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A deeply technical, reproducible engineering write-up explaining cooperative multitasking, state isolation, memory snapshots, patching, and scheduling in nested DOS Doom, with code references and an interactive challenge. It is highly interesting to programmers but narrowly scoped.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
