Why it ranked

No. 97 of 139 with a score of 0.59. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.89) and reader interest (0.78), lowest on technical depth (0.43). Placed No. 97, No. 90 by score alone: the 23rd Security story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

Significant iOS exploit news defeating Lockdown Mode and surviving updates; security-focused and widely relevant, but thin on technical detail and sourced mainly through a video and secondhand claims.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A potentially major iOS security demonstration affecting Lockdown Mode and update persistence, with clear relevance to mobile security. The article reports video evidence but lacks exploit details and relies partly on uncertain claims about an unreleased AI model.
