3 judges. Scored by all three judges. Only the day’s top stories get the claim check. How far stories are checked

A Microsoft Research and Georgia Tech analysis of 6,623 Reddit-reported AI agent failures, sorted into a 23-category taxonomy called MANDATE, finds the most severe failures are the least noticeable and that runaway execution is now the most-reported problem.

Why it ranked

No. 40 of 107 with a score of 0.56. The panel rated it highest on practical relevance (0.76) and new information (0.72), lowest on technical depth (0.52). The judges disagreed most on new information (spread 0.64), so the story is marked contested. Placed No. 40, No. 91 by score alone: the placement terms moved other stories past it.

AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
A UX columnist's roundup of several studies on AI agent oversight, dark patterns, cookie banners and persuasion; design-focused, opinionated, with cited research but mostly familiar UX principles and some promotional self-referencing.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A substantive UX and AI-agent roundup with study results, design guidance, and workflow implications. It is broad and useful, though editorial framing, many uncited claims, promotional bio material, and occasional extrapolation reduce substantiation and increase overclaim risk.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
