A GitHub repository called AiPrepLab, by Sergey Kurshev, offers a free, CPU-friendly curriculum for junior AI researcher interviews, covering math, coding from scratch, ML debugging, systems, inference, RAG, safety, CUDA, and mixture-of-experts. Each module pairs a short article with a runnable exercise and checks.

Read the original at github.com. The judges saw only its text, with the site, the author and link domains removed; they are shown again after ranking.

Why it ranked

No. 43 of 51 with a score of 0.57. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.88) and technical depth (0.84), lowest on significance (0.47). The judges disagreed most on substantiated (spread 0.48), so the story is marked contested. Placed No. 43, No. 40 by score alone: the 17th AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.

Ask HN post promoting a free AI research interview curriculum with modules, notebooks and articles. Practical and technical for ML builders, but it is a self-promoted course rather than significant news, and claims are unverified.
AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
A detailed, hands-on AI research interview curriculum with reproducible exercises, code structure, checks, and substantial coverage of training, inference, CUDA, retrieval, safety, and MoE systems. It is highly useful, though mainly a project announcement rather than original research.

Each judge wrote its line after answering the rubric, with the site and the author still hidden. Every answer behind this is in the table under Score.
