Mnestiq is an open-source tool that records what an AI agent reads, decides and does, tags each piece of input by source, and signs the log with hash-chained, Ed25519-signed Merkle checkpoints so later edits are detectable.
Why it ranked
No. 82 of 127 with a score of 0.60. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.89) and technical depth (0.87), lowest on significance (0.49). Placed No. 82, No. 73 by score alone: the 29th AI & machine learning story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.
- AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
- Detailed, open-source AI agent audit tool with concrete technical specifics and demo; security-relevant and practically useful, but a single early-stage project with moderate breadth and some self-promotional framing.
- AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
- A detailed, runnable launch of an AI-agent evidence and provenance system, with cryptographic design, integrations, threat-model caveats, demos, and tests. It is highly actionable, though project maturity and real-world adoption are unclear.
