depquiet is an open-source CLI that triages vulnerability alerts from npm audit, pip-audit, Trivy, Grype, Snyk, Dependabot, and SARIF scanners, filtering out advisories the application cannot reach, those affecting only devDependencies, and those with low exploitation probability. It can also scan lockfiles directly via the OSV.dev API.
Why it ranked
No. 91 of 109 with a score of 0.57. The panel rated it highest on new information (0.90) and practical relevance (0.87), lowest on significance (0.47). The judges disagreed most on promotional (spread 0.58), so the story is marked contested. Placed No. 91, No. 90 by score alone: the 27th Security story of the day (−0.080). The placement terms move stories; they are not part of the score.
- AI judgeJudge 2claude-haiku-5-5
- Practical security triage tool for dependency alerts with benchmarks and detailed methodology; substantive but a single tool release with some promotional framing and self-reported results.
- AI judgeJudge 3gpt-5.6-luna
- A highly technical security-tool launch with reproducible commands, language-specific analyzers, CI/SBOM/VEX integrations, and benchmarks. It is useful and novel, but heavily promotional and its broad effectiveness claims rely on limited project evidence.
